My lecturer was very pleased with my presentation and asked why I didn't present my group's original presentation for our 'Diablo' esk idea as I was very clear and informative. This was great to hear as this filled me with confidence.
Well presented and showed clearly my research. His only concern was that the fire information was text heavy and that the images should perhaps also include the real images of things so as to be further educational.
* I then worked with Jim from the sound department on possible voice acting for the game.We decided that the boss fires should have spoken dialogue so as to announce their presence similar to the "Zombies are coming" from 'Plants Vs. Zombies'.
With the above in mind me came up with the following...
Note that the following will be edited over time...
Boiler: Will have a metallic and bubbling sound over the voice actor's voice.
- Enter the scene:
- When defeated: (Steam whistle)
- When the boss beats the player:
Oven: Will have a inferno and door banging sound over the voice actor's voice.
- Enter the scene: "Prepare for 200 degrees... of pain!"
- When defeated:
- When the boss beats the player:
Electric Radiator: Will have a electric sound over the voice actor's voice.
- Enter the scene:
- When defeated:
- When the boss beats the player:
Chip Pan Fire: Will have a ? sound over the voice actor's voice.
- Enter the scene:
- When defeated:
- When the boss beats the player:
Alongside me providing my voice in the game, we also decided that I would now have the added role of voice director in which I will oversee anyone else providing voices for the fire enemies sounds e.g. gibbering similar to the simple zombie sounds in 'Plants Vs. Zombies'.
* Ryan decided that he was happy with the narrative 'Emergency Service Call' opening I came up with despite it being lengthy. He wasn't sure if we should include spoken dialogue or not, but Jim and I said it would be easy to do as we would get it done during the recordings for the enemies.
* Apparently we will eventually show the fire fighters and Remode our work so far. Therefore, I may be asked to showcase my card concept to them as the lecturer liked how I did it today. After all, the cards are a good idea for informing kids and being fun.
